reign of terror

paxton has a lengthy future in learning how to pick up after himself.

this kid knows how to make a mess.

until then,
he'll do this at great grandma piper's house.

and we'll all be ok with it.

because really,
how much fun does THIS look!?

problem

i'm pretty sure i've developed a horrible habit.

it's becoming a problem.

i can not find my shoes EVERY MORNING
when i'm trying to get dressed.

last night - i think i figured out why.

since having paxton - i leave them EVERYWHERE.

my sense of organization has totally flown out the window.

i walked around the house last night and took pictures of shoes
that were in the wrong place.

i did not move any,
these are {sadly} exactly where they were laying when i got my camera.

it's totally embarrassing.

think of this as a confession.

this is where yesterday's shoes ended
{between guest room & bonus room}
no idea why.

two pairs of flip flops that i haven't worn since being pregnant.
yes.
you read that right.
just laying beside the bonus room couch.

and in case two pairs weren't enough,
here is another pair of shoes about 4 feet from the flip flops.
ridiculous.

now this next picture is particularly embarrassing.
i didn't notice until AFTER taking the picture,
but these flip flops are actually from two different pairs.
in my bathroom.
i know.
i can't explain it either.

and here are some boots, a pair of flats,
and lo-and-behold ...
a flip flop partner to one in the bathroom!

then i thought i was done.
but when i turned around to put my camera away ...
i spied these gems hiding under the dirty clothes bin.
i haven't worn these since last summer.

i have no explanation for my actions.

weekend roundup

Time for the weekend roundup already.

This weekend F.L.E.W. by.

I started it off right by getting my hair cut & colored.

Please note it was the first time in 9 months.

I was a gross person.

I had horrid grow-out and painfully unhealthy hair.

A little daddy and baby time while I was getting pampered ...

I feel like a new woman.
The obligatory self-portrait inside car ...

I haven't talked much about this,
but Saturday marked my 20th day of my 24 day challenge with Advocare.
Here was my healthy breakfast
{4 egg whites, 2 oz shrimp, 1 cup asparagus, 3/4 oz avocado}

We finally took Paxton's 8 month pictures
{only 14 days late}

This is a random picture to include, but I'm currently totally obsessed with my peonies.
I used to be obsessed with Jordan's peonies,
but I decided to buy my own plants this year so I could stop stealing her flowers.
Aren't they beautiful on my entryway table?!
{I'm also obsessed over my table, which I found antiquing last year.}

Little man woke up with a nasty cold.
NOT fun for parents.
Understatement of the day.
Play time on Sunday morning.

We rocked out to the classiest of music,
while Paxton played and I cooked.

One of my passions ...
making homemade, organic baby food.
I seriously need to start a business.
You know - in all my spare time.

After Jay took off to coach a couple games,
My parents, Paxton, and I went on a beautiful sunny walk along Lake Washington.
Gor. G. Ous.

Grandpa and Baby // Bird-watching
Watching them do this together
makes my heart burst into a million pieces of love bits.

Paxton helped me go grocery shopping after our walk.
And by help, I mean he stared.
- at people walking by -
- at balloons -
- at grocery items -
- at the ceiling -

So much to see.
I love spending my days with my sweet little man.

No swimming lessons again this week due to Paxton's cold.

It was another fun-filled weekend of family time and making memories.

My heart is so full.

weekend roundup

this weekend was the first official weekend without jay around a lot.

i'm a baseball widow until the end of july.

we kept ourselves busy with fun activities and family time.

weekend roundup time.

saturday morning started with getting up on our knees.
time to move the pack & play base DOWN!

some play time

and some cuddle time

we spent the day with my parents.
we took a nice long nap {including me!}, played with toys and,
went on a fun walk in the park.

when jay got home, we hit up the outlet mall to buy clothes for pax that he doesn't need.
could this kid get any cuter?
the answer is no.

paxton goes to sleep in his swing,
then we move him to the pack & play after his 11:00 pm bottle.
we figured it was time to start putting him down w/out the swing.
you tell ME how it went ...

in all honesty, it went really well
{notice the base is lowered!}
he's such a good boy.

i woke up on sunday morning feeling totally crummy.
paxton and i took a long nap.
look at that cute, sleepy face.

in the afternoon, we visited the bellevue botanical garden.
this place is gorg-ous!

after our fun walk in the woods,
we went to my parent's house for some fun in the sun, and dinner.

and another week is upon us.
