I have a problem.
It's a problem I don't know how to control.
I've tried to ignore it for over a year.
It's a word.
When I hear it, I hear nails down a chalk board.
Teeth scraping against teeth.
All those unpleasantries.
UBER.
Why must people say it?
It's so stupid.
Are you trying to be trendy when you say it?
Are you trying to be super cool?
Are you too lazy to say SUPER?
When people say it, I literally get the chills.
I have a physical reaction.
It's like an allergy.
I'm allergic to the word.
Any thoughts?
Besides asking my allergist to add UBER to my allergy shot serum?

hmmm... i guess we don't have to agree on everything. i like the word UBER and use it every once in a while.
the word that gives me chills?:
MOIST.
hate that word.
Diane, I hate that word too. But I only wanted to be picky about one word at a time. :O) xoox
I am super (uber) sorry if I ever said it around you!
What if I use the word appropriately? As in ueber etwas? Is it okay then? Historically speaking, I understand and agree with your opinion. Nietzsche first used the term "uebermensch" and that was then picked up by Hitler who used the word when desribing a superiour race...blah blah. I just used part of my German degree! All those years fo study and dorky speaking German in the student union with my German pals just so I could appropriately comment on your blog! Hooray!
I also hate the word moist.
