Fall Night

We did all things Halloween and Fall-ish last night. You know ... jam it all into one night! Why not?

Jay taught me how to make caramel apples. I've never made them before. I can't even remember eating one. I guess last night was my first time!?!

They are delicious!

Jay ... in his element. He carved 3 pumpkins last night. He is an amazing pumpkin carver. I bow-down in his carving-presence. :)

While Jay carved pumpkins, I ate a caramel apple and drank wine ...

Then I chatted online with Diane while Jay carved pumpkins #2 and #3 (Diane, it was really fun talking to you ... thanks for the giggles. I love my blogging friends!). Long after he was done, I was left to my one-and-only job of the night ... picking out pumpkin seeds (notice where my priorities are = still sipping on wine).

And the fruit of our labor ...
Are you spooked?

Did you like my reference to hip hop right there? I am so totally jiggy with it... Wait, maybe I've been sipping some wine.

K, I'm out.....

(Let's never speak of this comment again)

So Jealous! I have wanted to do this the past few weeks! We are going to Oregon this weekend maybe we can do it there or else, I don't know if we will at all...sad :(
When I was at home me and my mom ALWAYS made carmel apples! I miss that! We used to sit for hours uncovering all the plastic on each one...then they came out with the actual sheets that just wraps around the apple! Love you!

Oh man Erica ... I didn't know they came out with caramel sheets! We unwrapped each one too ... but that was really fun to do too!

Love you too xoxo

Lisa, I REALLY like that Jay was willing to get his arms all slimy scooping out the "pumpkin guts" and you got to relax a little. What a gentleman! I love it! I also really like your entry. It looks festive and fun (oh and definitely scary). I like your kitchen too! Looks nicely situated for cooking.... :-)
