Little "Friends"

One of the joys of teaching ...

... is head lice.

That's right folks. You heard it here first.

I have a student with head lice.

I found out last week and ever since then, I've been scratching my own head like a crazy-person. I can't stop thinking about little bugs crawling all over my scalp.

So gross!

I finally gave in and went to our school nurse and had her check my hair. I knew the scratching sensation was all mental, but I just had to know for sure!

Good news ... I'm lice free!

And I had the nurse come in and check all the kids yesterday too.

Even better news ... our entire class is officially lice free now.

P.S. I'm really looking forward to some Google Ads on my blog regarding lice products now!

Oh WOW! I remember getting head lice when I was little! What a pain :)

I have always worried that Adelle with her thick long hair would get it at school but thankfully she never has!

I would be scratching my head for sure too. I even watch a movie where bugs are crawling on the actors and it makes me feel all scratchy.

I got head lice one year from a student (I was a special ed aid) AND I was pregnant so I couldn't use the OTC chemical stuff. I had to pick them all out of my thick curly hair. Good times!
